Senator Leila de Lima yesterday chided President Rodrigo Duterte for acknowledging the existence of summary killings while being adamant in insisting that he did not authorize such acts.
“So ngayon iba na? Iba na yung kanyang sinasabi. Akala ko ba the buck stops with him, akala ko ba sya he will be solely responsible for that, in fact magbibigay pa sya ng pardon to the policemen who maybe charged. So ano na naman yan? Paiba iba,” she said.
The senator who has proven to be now the nemesis of the President further twitted the President for coming out strong on his stance on wiping out, supposedly, drug personalities in the country, even assuring law enforcers who will heed his campaign that they will have his full support.
“ Dati ang tapang tapang na ganun ang sinasabi na he’s willing to die for the Philippines, for the Filipinos basta ba ma achieve nya yung gusto nya na eradicating the drug menace through that approach. So I don’t know. Maybe dahil nagsalita na kasi yung ICC (International Criminal Court) eh and I’ve been warning about him on that. Hindi ba? sineseryoso dapat yang mga ganyang bagay eh hindi yung nagtatapang tapangan tapos only in the end eh babawiin yung tapang nya,” she said.
