So who has the balls to arrest the former dictator’s wife?
On November 9, 2018, the Fifth Division of the Sandiganbayan released its decision convicting former first lady Imelda R. Marcos of seven counts of graft and corruption.
The 89-year old widow was sentenced to imprisonment of six years and one month to eleven years for each of the seven counts with perpetual disqualification from public office.
Considering that Marcos and her counsel did not attend the scheduled promulgation despite due notice, her bail bonds were forfeited and an order for her arrest was issued by the court.
This order of arrest is standing and effective unless and until the same is set aside by the issuing court or quashed or invalidated by the Supreme Court.
So who among the law enforcement agencies like the Philippine National Police, National Bureau of Investigation or even from the Barangay, are brave and bold enough to implement this order.
How about citizen’s arrest?
